Introduction	Judie Fertig Panneton was born in the United States to parents from Poland and Holland, both of whom survived the Holocaust. She is the author of The Breast Cancer Book of Strength & Courage (with Dr. Ernie Bodai, Random House) and a story consultant for the Emmy-award winning PBS show, Breast Cancer: Strength & Courage. Judie is a popular speaker in public schools and community groups, leads writing groups for children of immigrants, both school-aged and adult. Judie is an award-winning journalist with experience as a television and radio reporter/anchor, a newspaper editor and magazine writer, as well as a professional public speaker/trainer, college writing instructor and public relations expert.
