| Introduction | I come from an artistic family. My great aunts the Guilbaud sisters were very famous clothing designers in the forties. At a very young age, I took on ballet and theater. All pointed out to an artistic career but I pursued my studies in Business Administration in Puerto Rico instead. It was in Maricao, Puerto Rico that I fell in love with arts and crafts and developed a passion for the craftsmanship of bamboo. I learned some techniques from a friend and started beading. I am mainly self taught but take classes often in my local bead shop. A short time after learning these techniques, I moved to Miami and began beading full time. My creations were sold mainly in beauty salons and private parties. Although my work was increasingly in demand, I was seeking to become a designer. It was in Haiti, in the mountains of Kenscoff that the designer was born. I am creative, and love life just need to brag it and live life to the fullest. |
