| Introduction | Movies have always been part of my life. My earliest memories of watching movies was with my parents who are still active moviegoers. They inspired me to write about these films and continue watching movies. In seventh grade, my writing teacher showed our class the film "La Strada" and it traumatized me. That served as the stepping stones of my obsession with the Criterion Collection DVD series; the motto of the collection being "some of the most important films". Aside from doing reviews, once in a while I would analyze a scene from a particular movie or a character, theme, style, etc. My analyses and reviews will mostly cover my own reflections and analyses on the film while giving a broad sometimes vague overview of the plot. Since the blog is called Film 201B, it will be set up like a college film course where the teachers lecture (or in this case write) about a film that they assume you have watched.
