| Introduction | My name is Chris Monge. I am from a suburb of Detroit. I enjoy hockey, breaking stuff, and romantic conversation. I have worked in the fire service for 7 years and currently work at an inner-city fire department. We see a fairly large number of fires every year and I feel this gives me a unique opportunity to see how these tools perform under real conditions rather than in relaxed scenarios in a house the FD procured, or in a training class where the main goal is to see if you can break the tool. Real situations, real results. I started this blog to do 3 things: 1) Give unbiased reviews on how tools perform in real fires or other emergencies, under actual conditions that the tools may see at your department. 2) Inform you of new tools out on the market that may be exactly what you are looking for but just haven't seen it out there yet. 3) Take the same tools we use every day and hopefully give you new ideas on how to use them. |
