| Introduction | At A Fall Retreat I attended this year at Lake Ann Christian Camp, the speaker told us that John referred to himself as, “The One He Loves”. Since that night, the concept has stuck with me. I want to address myself as, “The One He Loves”. May that be my identity-my defining quality. I pray it may be yours too. I often doubt myself; I doubt my abilities, my worth, and my significance. I become so caught up in my flaws and the things I’m not that I forget who I am. Yes, my name is Danielle Alysse DeYoung. I'm a student at Trine; I love CCH; I love camp, and I live in Shipshewana right now; I love the Lord, my God. These are all true. They are all wonderful. They are not, however, who I am. My identity is and will always be wrapped up in the One who made me-the One who LOVED me first. I am the one He Loves! |
