| Introduction | HIS Heart is the Community Ministries of Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson, Mississippi. The motto of Calvary is “In the Heart of Jackson, for the Heart of Jackson.” Calvary began its community ministries in 1998 with a renewed commitment to stay in the inner city and minister to its community.
Calvary begin its ministry to the community in faith because it seemed to be too great a task to accept considering the size of the church, the magnitude of the needs in the community and the lack of resources both financial and in manpower.
