Introduction	My name is Tehtena. I am the sister of Makeda, the Queen of Sheba, and King Solomon's Jerusalem is my home. Needless to say, as a fictional characters I owe my entire existence to a writer. Initially there was some friction between me and him since, having created me from absolutely nothing, he started out considering himself a bit of a god. This manifested itself mostly in his attempts to control my every move, but did not go on for very long. I soon taught him that he completely lacked the omnipotence generally associated with divinity, and by now he has accepted the fact that it is not he but I who runs the show. Sure, I will admit that I cannot do entirely without him, but we coexist now strictly on my terms—he has certainly stopped telling me what to do. Please don't get me wrong. We are actually good friends, which is why I am allowing him to share his thoughts on this blog as well. He, in turn, has promised to paint my portrait one of these days (no, the above oil-painting doesn't depict me, but my sister). All in all, I am rather confident that we can run this blog without stepping on each other's toes. I hope you'll enjoy our collaboration.
