| Introduction | In a world of extremes i consider myself a proud moderate. I left the ultra-conservative strain of evangelicalism I was spiritually nurtured in when it's intellectual and moral deficiencies became apparent. My leftward journey hit the brakes, however, when I saw many of the same kind of failings on the opposite end of the spectrum. So now I stand in the middle, perfectly centered between Jerry Falwell on one side and Bishop Spong on the other, and take shots from both sides. Good thing I've got a thick skin. |
