| Introduction | As a young girl I always enjoyed drawing and painting. In high school I had an art teacher who encouraged me to continue an education in art. However, outside of one pastel course in college, it wasn't until having children that my passion for painting blossomed within the walls of our home. Paint brush in hand I painted fairies on walls, clouds on a ceiling and a wall aquarium filled with oceanic life. Throughout our home various faux finishes also graced the walls. Relatives, friends and others requested to have me design and paint in their homes. My faux finish & mural business "A Touch of Color" began in May 2000. The business helped to pave the path, along with many requests for me to start painting on canvas, with acrylics as my medium. I have since been juried into several local art shows. Recently I joined a group of Plein Air artists that meet weekly to paint using natural light, with oil as my medium. I enjoy the challenges each new painting presents.
