Introduction	My name is Nancy Sakakura. I began having problems with my blood counts in 2002. I was diagnosed with Myelodyplastic Syndrome (MDS) and Myelofibrosis in 2004 and have been in search of a bone marrow donor since that time. I will finally be undergoing a bone marrow transplant and will be admitted to the City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, CA on Mother's Day, May 14, 2006. This will be an account of my experiences, thoughts and current status. I will update this site daily to the best of my ability, otherwise, my family members will update it for me. I want to thank all of you for your care and concern for not only me, but for my family during the past several years. Thank you to A3M (Southern Cal) and AADP (Northern Cal) for your help and to all of my family and friends who generously donated their time working at bone marrow drives in order to help me and others in need.
