You've got to make contact with the alien leader. How will you tell when the conversation is finished?
Well, if the movies we watch are any indication, when they either finish rounding up the human race to use as food, or just fire off a death ray and obliterate the planet. Contact with aliens (save for ET) never seems to go well.
