About me

Introduction In 2015, I suddenly realized I was approaching the big 5-0, the 1/2 century mark, the point in my life when AARP starts to send membership solicitations. Some people bemoan getting older. Some seem resigned to their fate. But I decided it was time to celebrate. I don't believe 50 is old. I don't believe 50 is the new 40, or the new 30, or anything other than what it is-which is to say, age is just a number; your life is what you make of it, regardless of that number. So I decided that as I turned 50, I would go beyond anything I had ever thought possible. I decided that in my 50th year, I would run 5 marathons-all within 12 months. This blog chronicles my adventures and whatever insights I gained along the way. Now that I've run all 5 marathons (the last in January 2016), I've come to understand that all of us can do so much more than we think. So, post-marathons, this blog is dedicated to the amazing possibilities in each of us - whether you're 50 or any other age. When I'm not blogging, I'm a professional content writer. In my travels, I've led several non-profit organizations, written an Amazon bestseller, moved to Israel, and yes, run marathons.
