| Introduction | My name is Bob. I am a dairy farmer in Shropshire in the UK. I have long had an interest in alternative energy, and I now have an 80 kW wind turbine on the farm. Over the two years or so that it has taken to bring this project to fruition, I have learnt a great deal about how to do it, what questions to ask of turbine suppliers, about the planning process, the design and construction of the installation, and finally registration with Ofgem for the Feed-in tariff. I am now using this experience to benefit others, (and myself of course!) My time is for sale. I am completely independent, I have no ties with any particular manufacturer or installer. If you want help of any sort, from just a list of possible pitfalls to avoid, to a full planning application service, I can help. Although I describe myself as a farmer, my experience to date has been less than typical. I have an honours degree in Agricultural Engineering, qualifications in Farm Business Management, and an AAT Accountancy qualification. As well as farming, I have a failed venture into mineral water bottling under my belt, and have provided book-keeping services for a variety of businesses. |
