About me

Introduction Ages ago, with no plans or money for spring break, I signed on with my college's chapter of Habitat for Humanity to volunteer at a build in Selma, Alabama. Immediately, I was hooked! Since then, I've had the fortune to work on builds in Guatemala, Jordan, and Thailand, as well as local builds in Prince William County. In less than four months, I'll be packing my bags for a build in Haiti. Along the way, I've learned to mix cement by hand, work with rebar, and even install windows. I shook hands with Jimmy Carter (!), worked side by side with future homeowners who humbled me, and made many lifelong friends. I've become truly grateful for my own warm igloo and lantern with oil. And I've even found some peace in my heart.
