| Introduction | The concept of taking old, discarded items and turning them into something fun, beautiful or useful has always inspired me. I think I love hunting for the stuff as much as I love creating with it. As a child I filled a lot of old shoeboxes with little rooms made of hairpins, bottlecaps, cotton balls and fabric scraps. I may be a grown-up wife, mother and grandmother, but I'm still inspired by the hunt for found objects and still brimming with creative ideas of how to upcycled and repurpose them. This blog is about the hunt, the materials, the creative impulse and the execution.
