Introduction Hi, I'm Dawn. I married my childhood sweetheart at 18, survived raising four brilliant children, and now have two of the most wonderful grandchildren ever born. My mom lives with us, out in the middle of the desert, along with my maltipoo, Jazmyn. We also have five horses and an unlimited supply of bugs. I was a stay-at-home mom for sixteen years, spent nine years attending college, and finally earned my BSN at 39 years old. Unfortunately, I was only able to work eleven years in my dream job, as an RN in a huge NICU, before severely injuring my back. I haven’t been able to work since then. However, I now have unlimited time to read, craft, sew, or sleep. I love crafts of all kinds. I started sewing at ten and have sewn everything from tents to wedding gowns. I have also tried crocheting, cross-stitching, doll making (porcelain, wood and cloth), tole painting, making lollipops, wood working, scrapbooking, beading, creating cards, and pattern designing for humans and dolls. Even more than doing the actual crafts, I love to purchase supplies. I’m sure that I can never have enough paper, fabric, or bead or patterns. But I can try. I am not a hoarder; I am a collector!!!
Interests I love sewing and crafts of all kinds. I don't want to run out of supplies for any reason, so I am constantly searching for good deals on fabric, patterns, and notions. If we ever have a shortage of fabric in this country, I am well prepared. I may go hungry, but I won't have to go naked. Everyone should be grateful. . . .
