| Introduction | I learned to cook at an early age by the side of my mother, a nutritionist and stay-at-home mom who made all of our meals from scratch. She taught me how to measure out the ingredients, how to tell when something is done cooking and more importantly how to try new things in the kitchen. At an early age I began to enter baking contests at the state fair along with my brothers and sisters. The first time I entered the contest I was 8 years old and I won first place! Baking has remained a passion of mine. I'm the girl who brings cookies to work to share with the co-workers. I'll spend four hours in the kitchen perfecting a delicate lemon meringue pie for a pot luck and call it a good evening. My hope is that in sharing my passion for baking, you will feel inspired to try new things in the kitchen too! |
