Introduction	I am a southern girl through and through and proud to be! Being born and raised in the south isn't just about geography - it is a way of life. The south informs your soul and taints your breath. Now these days I am also a Southern moma, with all the pleasures and neuroses that go along with it. I am trying to raise a genteel, tea-drinking southern boy who understands chivalry is alive and well. I decided to start this blog for lots of reasons - part journal to help me remember all of those things that have not made it into my son's baby book (I'm so behind!), part tribute to my southern heritage and family, so as not to forget all the stories from my childhood, and part love letter to my dear boy so he can really "know" his moma someday. By the way, I am married to a wonderful man - a southern lawyer (and he has the seersucker suit to prove it!). We met in law school. Yes, I was a lawyer in another life...although very briefly. Suits my husband perfectly but was sucking the soul right out of me. So this is my life. Welcome and y'all come on in!
