| Introduction | I am 18 years old and attend The Nobel School and I am studying my A-Levels. I used to be a swimmer to a National Level. Five years ago I had what we thought was a small injury in my left knee, I exhausted all conservative treatments and ended up having surgery in the June of 2008 and we thought this would cure the problem, however it didnt and we discivered I had a Degenerative Disease in my knee, at this moment in time I cant walk and use crutches to Mobilise and I have had four operations and awaiting a 5th I have seen several surgeons all around the country and they are baffled, but I soldier on day by day, I also have a severe condition with my nervous system and am taking over 50 tablets a day to control the pain from my knee and hip and also to control the condition in my nervous system. I have also in recent weeks been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis in my left hip and degeneration in my Pelvis on the left side. |
