| Introduction | Deb Bettencourt Photography was a dream for many years before it became a reality in 2008. Photography has always been a passion for me since childhood. I was always the person with a camera in hand during vacations, family gatherings and outings. However, it was only after starting a family and seeing how quickly my daughters grew and changed that it became a priority to record the passing months with photographs that went beyond mere snapshots. Even with a full-time career, a home and a family, I dedicated time to study at the New York Institute of Photography, apprentice with local photographers whose work I respected, participate in photography associations, and ultimately work part-time for various photography companies where the experience would enrich my skills. In 2008 I established a photography studio and made the leap from part-time photographer to business owner! |
