Introduction	I am the mother of two amazing kids. The blogs here are about my journey raising a child with autism, and my journey as a woman in a wheelchair trying to navigate living in a country that places the highest value on youth and beauty - and reconciling that with middle age and an obvious physical disability. Through the written word, I can help foster understanding and compassion, and hopefully, elicit laughter along the way. Thank you for visiting!
Interests	writing, daydreaming, hanging with the two coolest people on earth - those funny little people I call my kids, traveling, meeting new folks, yapping for hours about nothing in particular, and reading. Once in awhile I get a wild hair and do something crazy, like hang gliding, or posting blogs about deeply personal topics that the whole world will then be privvy to. But this is what makes living fun.
Favorite movies	Big, Jungle Book, Lion King, Misunderstood, The Earthling, Wog Boy, The Castle, 2 1/2 Weeks, The Constant Gardner, Blood Diamond, Like Water for Chocolate, so many others.
Favorite music	There are not enough hours (or gigabytes) in the world for me to tell you about all my favorite music. So I'll just say "ALL OF IT"
Favorite books	Again, not enough time or gigabytes.
