Introduction | My second book, Blue Collar Eulogies, was published by Steel Toe Books. My first, Leaving Iowa, won the Liam Rector First Book Award from Briery Creek Press. Both are available now on Amazon. I've been lucky enough to win the Marjorie J. Wilson Poetry Award (judged by Sherman Alexie), the James Wright Poetry Award (judged by Rafael Campo), the Annie Finch Poetry Prize (judged by Bob Hicok), the Laureate Prize (judged by C.J. Sage), and second place in the Fugue Poetry Contest (judged by Campbell McGrath), plus four chapbook contests. I'm a Leo, which means my parents probably had sex sometime in November of 1976. |
