Introduction My goal is to deliberate the balance of representation and design. I am particularly moved by artists who are able to take abstraction further, offering more information with less detail. My work is not to reconstruct or comment on social, natural or cultural reality. While I have great respect for artists who do, I think my path has been towards the creation of studies of time and place using an acute understanding of design and color theory. I believe my work is expressionistic and is differentiated by the unique and arbitrary layering of complex colors. I am directed by the fundamentals of interior design and elements of design, especially intrigued by light. I am powered by my own highly personal vision and I encourage people who view my work to consider my process of decision-making. It is a course that is followed without hesitation and from which; I am not able to deviate. A day of successful painting is it the best of days. It is a selfish endeavor. I wish for the viewer to arrive at a personal determination, framed in their own experiences and therefore, apart from reference, I prefer not to name my work.
