| Introduction | Denise is a native Virginian and currently lives in a country setting with her husband of 33 years in Smithfield, VA. She and her husband, Jim, have a son and daughter-in-law. She attends Unity Fellowship Church in Newport News, VA and is the point-person for the churches’ partnership with LINK (Living Interfaith Network), a non-profit organization in Newport News, VA. Her church partners with LINK for several annual activities, such as, PORT, (the winter homeless shelter), Share the Spirit (a Christmas activity), and food drives. She was ordained as an independent Unity Minister in May 2009 and received her Licensed Independent Unity Teacher certificate in February 2009 in the Conference of Practical Christianity. She became a Reiki Master/Teacher in December 2003. She received her Death and Grief Studies Certification from Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s Center for Loss and Life Transitions in Ft. Collins, CO. in December 2009. She has been a hospice volunteer. The main focus of her life’s work is helping people through the mourning process in groups and individually as well as discussions on prosperity, health, meditation, prayer and consciously connecting with the Christ within. |
