| Introduction | Harri is recovering from an ABI (acquired brain injury) he suffered in 2001, when he was 3 years old. He was bitten by a mosquito and contracted a virus, Murray Valley Encephalitis, which caused his brain to swell, as a result he is now a quadriplegic. The result is similar to cerebral palsy. Harri suffers from epilepsy and is also unable to speak. We hope to find a treatment that will aid in his recovery. He is a very bright boy who can communicate very well without words - he does not have the gift of speech - but we love to hear his laugh or even his cries of frustration when we're not getting the message. |
