| Introduction | Silma converted to Islam nearly 50 years ago after travelling to Indonesia, is mother of 6, grandmother of 14. She established the Muslim Women’s Shop and Centre in 1979, pioneered Islamic schooling with Al Noori in 1983 then Noor Al Houda Islamic College in 1995.. Quals: Dip Ed, M Ed Admin, M A Hons, M A Isl Stud. She was recently a high school teacher of English and is a committee member of the Islamic Society of South Australia and the Islamophobia Register of Australia. |
