Introduction In the words of Thomas Jefferson, "I cannot live without books." For someone who has been reading and loving books their entire life, listing favorite books would be like telling what my favorite day that I've lived was. They are too many, too varied, and too good to ever decide. Even being surrounded by books at the library where I work has not slaked my thirst for them. But, as my mother occasionally reminds me, there is more to life than books. There are people, and I like people very much. Especially Graham. There's music, and that's good too, and there's food, which I'm very fond of, and there's art, which I enjoy and want to know more about, and there's the great wide outdoors, which is beautiful and varied and fascinating and incredible. Most of all, there is God, who made the beautiful world, the fine art, the tasty food, the lovely music, and the beloved people. I owe it all to Him.
