| Introduction | I was born on in Una, Himachal Pradesh, India. I am a 1972 graduate BSc(Hons-Maths), of Panjab University Chandigarh. I am a 1973 post-graduate (Diploma for Advanced Studies in Science, Theoretical Physics) of the University of Manchester, UK. I am also a 2004 post-graduate (M.Sc., Information Technology) of the Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. I also studied for(but did not complete) Fellow Program in Management (FPM) at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta during 1984-85. I was appointed a tutor for Physics undergraduates at University of Manchester during 1973-1975 while I was a Ph.D. student. I joined the State Bank of India in 1977 as a Probationary Officer. I have been working there ever since in various capacities at various places. I am an Asstt General Manager in the Asset liability management Department of the Bank. I like to go trekking. I have been on a trek to Rohtang pass(Himachal Pradesh), Hadrian's wall(Yorkshire), Pindari glacier(Kumaon), Kailash Parbat-Mansarovar(Tibet). My daughter is a Dental Surgeon and has passed BDS examination and completed her internship. My son is a Chemical Engineer. |
