Introduction	Building my second career as a visual artist, I am drawn to elements which have texture and history, and which intrigue me to combine them. Nick Bantock's writing and art have been a huge influence on me, as well as the textures and colors used by fiber artists. My first career, music, shows up frequently in my art, and I always think of the two as intertwined. Add poetry, adventure, and new ideas everyday, and you have the mind of Lynda, the Island Queen.
