| Introduction | In August 2001 I was almost killed when a semi-trailer literally ran me over. 75 days in hospital, 13 surgeries and 8 years of recovery later I begin my road to Challenge Wanaka 2011. Sick of chronic pain and inactivity, in 2008 I decided to embark on a training regime that has seen me loose more than 35kgs and complete more than 15 half and 1 full marathon(s), several 5km road races, duathlons and triathlons (most in a team) and the 150km Otago Central Railtrail Duathlon. But the real Challenge still lies ahead! |
