Introduction	I've been painting and drawing since I was a child. I actually have a self-portrait I did when I was 10 years old, which my mother saved and gave to me later on in life. I have two children and worked all of their growing up years. I am married to a wonderful guy who fully supports my art efforts. I've been painting off and on for 20 years, doing portraits of my grandchildren when I had free time, while I worked. My real artist finally emerged when I retired 3 years ago. I began studying with a number of local teachers and joined a weekly art group. I take advantage of all the workshops I can. I currently paint realistically and abstractly in watercolor and acrylic, pastels, and now oils. I have work hanging in three local galleries and I'm a member of the Colonie Art League. I was invited to exhibit in a juried show at the Arkell Gallery and have taken part in a number of art shows. I'm still struggling with some mediums like pastel, but have become more comfortable with acrylic and watercolor.
