| Introduction | My fine arts work explores the relationship between the state of the human mind and its societal view. With influences as diverse as Camus and Kiki Smith, new combinations are synthesized from both simple and complex meanings. Ever since I began my journey as a student I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the human condition. What starts out as hope soon becomes finessed into a manifesto of distress, leaving only a sense of decadence and the unlikelihood of a new reality. As momentary forms become reconfigured through studious and critical practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the inaccuracies of our condition. |
