| Introduction | I love to sew! My mother thought those words would never come out of my mouth! I live in Arizona and have 2 beautiful daughters. My husband tolerates my crafting, as it’s usually all over the house. Through the years my mother made clothing, blankets and much more for our family. Although she’ll never admit it, she is an expert seamstress. I hated to sew and she usually had to drag me kicking and screaming to the sewing machine. So I grew up sewing and swearing that I would never turn into my mother with her stashes of fabric. Now here I am many years later, worse than my mother ever was. Somehow amidst the chaos of life, we fell in love with old Singer industrial hemstitchers, which have a personality all their own. My machine has two speeds, fast and faster. My mother’s machine sews like butter and doesn’t appreciate speed. We both claim that we have the machine that suits our personalities. |
