| Introduction | I am a wife, mom, friend, business owner and tennis player. While doing all that I try to keep my family fed with healthy dinners most nights. For years I have made weekly menus, made my weekly shopping list off that menu and went about cooking dinners. After so many questions, compliments and interest from friends I have decided to start a blog about what I am cooking. I post the menu on the inside of the pantry door each week, and I seldom hear the infamous question, “What’s for dinner?” Nor do I have to worry about it at 5:00 each night. I already know, while some of my friends are raiding their fridge, pulling their hair out trying to figure what to make. Each week I take into account what our afternoon/evening plans are with meetings, sports practices, etc. On those nights I schedule quick dinners or make something in the crock pot. Since I cook all week, on the weekend we enjoy a nice dinner out on Saturday, and Sunday we will grab Panera or Subway while we are out and about running errands. I make my list on Sunday night, shop on Monday. This is what works for me….it might also be a starting point for you. It’s a flexible plan, make it work for you. |
