Occupation Writer and Artist (I get to do both)
Location Bangkok, Thailand
Introduction I'm a writer and an artist, specializing in science fiction, fantasy and horror. I have a fun gig as the Art Director of Eric Flint's Grantville Gazette magazine, dedicated to stories set in the alternate history 1632 series. I now get to do things I dreamed of doing in my youth and I love it. Life-wise I've always been a maverick; seeing what's around the bend, learning foreign tongues. I've done a lot of unusual jobs, lived in some exotic countries (3 years in Japan and going on 7 here in Thailand), and traveled around the world seeking adventure. I find this lifestyle inspiring in that I am rarely bored. Sometimes strange things happen to me that some people think of as supernatural or paranormal. I think these are only natural phenomena we don't understand yet, much the way my ancestors once thought thunder was caused by Thor's mighty hammer. I've seen ghosts, UFO's and monsters, and have been glad every time because they make for good campfire stories. Along with my art and fiction I'm going to share some of these bizarre but true experiences- I promised some wonders and I'm going to deliver. -My middle name is Wayne, but I may change it to 'Adventure' one of these days.

When you open your eyes underwater, do you ever worry that you'll drown?

Keeping your eyes open underwater is the best way NOT to drown! Try hitting your head on the bottom of a boat sometime, OW! Come to think of it, keeping your eyes open is a good idea pretty much everywhere.
