| Introduction | Born in Padubidri, my family moved to Bombay as soon I was born. My first school was Mogaveera Mandali's School (MVM) was renamed to Swami Muktananda High School. I got my Masters through Bhavan's College in May of 1987. I spent 3 frustrating months when I finally got my first job. The job was not related to my study at all, it was a Sales job, I was selling Discount Cards. I couldn't believe my life. But, the good thing was I got a job and a fabulous one too because I was making around Rs.8,000 and it was great for me. That's when I realized that, no matter whatever I do, I will not think if I am capable of doing it or not. So, in 1987 when computers were introduced to Indian market I didn't know anything about computers, but I still jumped into the bandwagon. Learnt programming first-hand as it was being introduced, I moved from dbase to foxbase, Foxplus, Foxpro then, Visual Foxpro. DOS to Windows, Windows95, etc, etc, Unix, Ubuntu. I love Ubuntu, its great, I believe in the philosophy of being simple and straightforward and Ubuntu does that. So does my programs they are very easy and simple to use - no clutter. Thanks, |
