| Introduction | Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, my love for the Bible and ultimate journey to spiritual leadership was born in me of the relationship I shared with my paternal grandmother, a devout Christian woman who never shyed away from an opportunity to share her faith. My love for expressive writing was given to me by my fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Barbara Warren, who spent our entire school year grounding all other subjects in the foundation of solid writing. As a Seminarian and the Lay Leader at Trinity United Methodist Church, in Charlotte, I have had the wonderful opportunity to make use of these talents that God has given to me and is working to perfect in me.
