| Introduction | Greetings! Welcome to The Salty Gardener Blog. This blog is mostly about the joy and the pleasure of gardening rather than the work and the mechanics of it. We will certainly talk about the work and mechanics of growing but for to long I only worked in my garden. I was driven by some elusive quest for perfection. I never enjoyed my garden and I was never sastisfied. I finally learned that God says that there is nothing better for man than to be happy and to do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his toil- This is a gift of God. I agree with William Henry Davies when he says " What is life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare?- Come along with me and take some time to stand and stare.....For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the work of your hands. How great are your works, O Lord, how profound your thoughts. |
