Occupation Lecturer, Arts in Healthcare
Location Florida, United States
Introduction I am third-generation Floridian. I am part stardust, part dandelion, and share 96% of the DNA sequence with chimpanzees. I learned that in a documentary once, and smiled inside. My superpower is connecting with people. And singing. I would like to know yours. I like to keep things simple, which isn't easy. I live to the edges and love with abandon. I keep my fingernails bare, wear mascara to get fancy, and love a good read. I am re-learning how to ride a bike. I know it sounds funny, but life has gotten real; and really precious, in the last seven plus years since I became somebody's Mama. My dad and big brother tell me I could stand to lighten up; laugh more often. And what can I say, I break for world peace. You will notice my love for poetry; hence the sharing of Authorship in this blog. My great wish is to see, listen, feel, taste, touch, smell and sense this great wide world deeply, and without a ripple at once. As daughter, sister, mama, wife, friend, colleague, and wild woman, life is full. And I am glad for the fullness. This blog is about my journey to sitting still a few minutes each day.
