| Introduction | As an American in Germany, I am an "Ausländer," (foreigner), and in many ways always have been. Combine that with my love for extravagance and glamor and you have "Outlandish." I love thinking, writing, speaking, producing meaningful and creative gatherings of community within a team of great people, home decorating, thought provoking conversations, watching good movies, reading books about theology and leadership, going out to breakfast with a friend, and shopping at flea markets. I am so thankful for my husband and three bright and beautiful children, but sometimes struggle with the many different hats I'm expected to wear as woman, wife, mother and family manager. |
