| Introduction | Welcome to my little blog. I'm a homeshool mum living in unpredictable Northeast Georgia with a curious daughter, a silly dog and a conniving cat. The world of art influences our every day and keeps me awake nightly. My head is filled with ideas that become hastily scrawled sketches and cryptic notes on various surfaces. When the fates look kindly on me, I'm allowed to see one of these to its fruition. The rest of them mill around like an angry and unruly mob, waiting to wreak havoc when opportunity arises. I am deeply moved by the works of Tim Burton and Edward Gorey and hope someday to live in that vein. But for now all that comes to life is just kind of cute or mildly odd. Sigh....one day my works will reflect the true madness residing in my creative soul. Like Stephen King, another of my mentors. Bwa-haha. If the art thing never works out, it would be nice to be a professional nature photographer. I'm flexible. In the meantime, I've become thoroughly enchanted with beads and jewelry and am embarking on a grand, new adventure. Wish me luck, or better yet, come along! |
