Introduction	I am the parent of an aspiring opera singer, a vocal performance student at a major U.S. conservatory. This blog provides a resource for parents raising and seeking to develop the talent of their musically-inclined children. As someone who did not grow up with the creative gene, I hope that the lessons I've learned along the way and the relationships I've built can serve you on your journey. I attended an Ivy League university, have an applied doctorate in business and work for a large media and marketing conglomerate. None of this prepared me one bit for raising a child who wanted to sing for a living.
