| Introduction | ONCE UPON A TIME... In a culinary wasteland, far, far from Chicago... a J-school student pined for decent ethnic food... That student is me, Michelle Markelz. I'm a journalism student at the University of Missouri. The best decision of my college career was to get off the Mizzou dining plan. In doing so, I gained the responsibility of cooking for myself and making it better than campus dining. Don't get me wrong; it's not a tall order — especially that "making it better" bit. This blog is the visual proof of my bona-fide kitchen skeelz. Hopefully you'll get some good recipes out of it — oh, and the film reviews won't hurt either — but really, I think this blog is for everyone who ever had to suffer possibly the most unpalatable state in the union.
