| Introduction | I was raised in a small Idaho farming community. I was named after my maternal Grandfather Lavon who had passed away shortly before my birth. Although my name isn't Lavon, it is unique and different and no one can spell it or pronounce it. I didn't like my name as a child, but I've grown accustomed to it over the years. To some degree, my name has influenced who I am today. I look forward to meeting my Grandfather Lavon someday. So, welcome to my blog. I enjoy writing most days and sharing interesting things I come across. The problem comes in limiting my posts to one a day... |

| Favorite Music | Lots of variety, some music from the 70s and 80s, some Rock and Roll, lots of classical music, Broadway musicals, some religious groups, some current pop artists, a few country artists, a few current artists like Jack Johnson |
| Favorite Books | Historical fiction and non-fiction like Manhunt, Fly boys, Poisonwood Bible, Kite Runner, Centennial, the Color of Water, Lonesome Dove, and classics like, Jane Eyre, A Tale of Two Cities and anything by Shakespeare, the scriptures |
