| Introduction | I was born and raised in magical Africa, but have called Australia home since 2003. I love to create fun things with beads. I have a cat named Archie, who loves playing with beads as much as I do. I have been making jewellery ever since I can remember, initially only for my own use. As a teenager, some of my more memorable creations included plate-sized earrings made from polymer clay, bottle-top earrings and painted cannelloni shell jewellery (yes, the pasta variety!) After my first attempt at markets I was thrilled when a local news presenter bought a pair of my earrings and wore them on the evening news! These days making jewellery has become somewhat of an addiction and I get a little frazzled if I'm separated from my beads for too long. I'm completely self-taught through the use of books and tutorials, and still learning new things every day! I love working with Swarovski stones, vintage cabochons and unusual buttons, and I spend a great deal of time searching for just the right pieces to use in my designs. All my creations are one-of-a-kind because I value uniqueness and get bored quickly! |
