| Introduction | Watcombe Children’s Centre Nursery is in the grounds of Watcombe Primary School. Enjoying a magnificent setting, surrounded by wooded hills and open fields with nearby adjacent beaches. It is on the northern boundary of Torquay, and directly facing the nursery is Brunel Woods and Brunel Manor, both closely associated with Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We are lucky to have a brand new building with top of the range fixture and fittings. Our secured outside play area is designed with the child in mind; we also have a secured covered play area if the weather is poor. Our nursery is Ofsted registered, and is working in close Partnership with Watcombe Primary School and Torbay Early Years. We have a dedicated Nursery Teacher and Nursery Manager who are working in conjunction with each other in overseeing the learning and care for the 0-3s and the implementation of learning within the schools nursery for the 3-5s. The nursery was built from funding from SureStart, and it has taken over three years of planning to get a purpose built centre with a bright and enjoyable nursery. |
