| Introduction | I write and speak about feeling like an "orphan" at sixty years of age. Five months after my mother died, my father passed away. Sharing my experiences as a daughter, caregiver, wife and mother hopefully will help others who are grieving over the loss of their parent. I am an adult orphan. I'm not anyone's child anymore. One day you have parents and the next day you don't. How do we deal with this feeling of being all alone? Hopefully my future posts will help you whether you are a caregiver or making the transition from caregiver to accepting the loss of a loved one. I encourage you to ask me questions or post your experiences as it will assist others, especially those who feel like an adult orphan. |
| Interests | Helping people who are grieving their parent's death, who are caregivers for their parent(s), and who are feeling guilty about the lack of time they have to spend with their elderly, ill parent(s). |
