Introduction Formerly an engineer in the RAF, with degrees in electronics and satellite communications engineering, I studied law with the Open University and went on to specialise in intellectual property and IT law at the University of Edinburgh before undertaking the BVC and being called to the Bar. I have recently spent a year as a Research Assistant in the Department of Law at Queen Mary, University of London, where I was part of a team investigating the legal issues arising from the use of cloud computing. Having recently completed pupillage I am now a barrister at Cornwall Street Chambers in Birmingham.
