| Introduction | Hi there, I'm Carrie Cartier. Welcome to Paint Draw Love (the greatest of these is Love.) I am currently a decorative painter and mother, but I have dreamed of something else since childhood. I am beginning this blog to chronicle my journey into becoming a children's book writer and illustrator. Step one: Cross Fingers, Step two: Educate myself. I have read dozens of blogs similar to what I hope this will become. I asked for writer/illustrator related books for Christmas and Last October (2011) I joined SCBWI and attended my regional conference. I also attend regular illustrator events to learn from those who have walked this road before me. SCBWI.org has a wealth of information. I read a LOT of children's books and I try really hard to carve out time to set my ideas to paper. The fact that I have a 3 1/2 year old explains both of those. Now I am in the do-something-with-all-this-information phase. Here we GO! |

What would you wear for camouflage if you were hiding in a gingerbread house?
I'm thinking red and white candy stripes would do the trick.
