| Introduction | I grew up in Alaska, but I've lived the last nine years in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. This blog is about my transition back to The Last Frontier. Leaving nothing to moderation, I am working my first four months back "home"-- from May to September-- giving dog sled tours aboard the Denver Glacier in Skagway, Alaska. I'm writing here to tell those close to me how things are going and let them know I haven't fallen into any crevasses. More than that, I'm writing to try to suss out what this big change means and needs and is. I doubt I'll figure it out, but I'm willing to give it an epic shot. What could be more epic, permanent, and yet perpetually changing than a glacier? |
